  • Household articles are also covered within the geographical limits mentioned; they are covered whether in house office hotel road or elsewhere within the geographical limits specified in the policy.
Who can take insurance?

Any person having any of the above mentioned properties which are at risk.

This type of insurance covers any loss or damages to the articles mentioned in 'What can be insured' on account of any

  • Accident
  • Fire
  • Riot and Strike
  • Robbery/theft
  • Any fortuitous cause.

POLICY EXCLUSIONS

The policy does not cover loss or damage arising from:

  • War war like operations Nuclear group of perils
  • Cracking scratching or breakage of glass and articles of a fragile nature unless such loss or damage arises from accident to vessel train vehicles or aircraft by which such property is being conveyed.
  • Depreciation Wear and tear moth mildew vermin any process of cleaning dyeing
  • Mechanical derangement or over-winding of watches and clocks
  • Electrical or mechanical breakdown
  • Consequential loss loss/damage to property carried under contract
  • Articles of consumable nature
  • Loss of or damage to any property whilst being conveyed by any carrier under contract.
  • Theft from not fully enclosed/locked cars
  • Any special value attached to any item as part of a set or pair
  • Loss of cash securities documents business books
  • Nuclear Risk
  • Articles which did not form part of contents of any of the packages when the journey commenced unless specifically declared and accepted.

CLAIMs DOCUMENT REQUIRED
  • Claim form duly completed
  • First Information Report lodged with the police
  • Final Investigation Report of the police
  • Indemnity bond wherever required
  • Documentary proof for the items lost and also its value.
CLAIM PROCEDURE
  • Intimate the policy issuing office or the nearest office of the company.
  • Claim form and other documents as required by the Insurance Company should be furnished.

HOW TO RENEW A POLICY

The Policy can be renewed by approaching any Branch of United India before the date of expiry of the policy.
