Smt. Usha Girish is a Direct Recruit Officer of the 1987 Batch. She is a Chartered Accountant by qualification & possesses an excellent academic record. She was First Rank Holder in Pre-Degree Exam (1982) conducted by University of Kerala. She has won several prizes in Arts & Literary fields in inter-collegiate competitions too.

She has rich experience of working in almost all key portfolios of insurance in various cities. She has handled Finance, Underwriting, Claims, Grievances, Marketing, IT etc., in various capacities. She has headed Departments, Branches, Regions & Projects. She played an integral part in successfully implementing RSBY, the pioneer of mass Government Health Schemes in Kerala. As the Mumbai Regional Head, she was instrumental in enabling United India’s association with the Govt. of Maharashtra for servicing the MJPJAY/PMJAY Scheme. She has handled retail & corporate clients with equal aplomb.

As General Manager, she is handling Technical Departments of Health & Marine. Under her aegis, the TNCMCHIS (Government Health Scheme for BPL families in Tamil Nadu) has been running successfully winning accolades all around. Recently, UIIC was awarded the prestigious SKOCH BFSI award for best Health Insurer in Government category for implementation of TNCMCHIS. She is also In-charge of the activities in the departments of Investment, Product Research & Development, Loss Control etc.

She is a Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants.
