Do's and Dont's - Health Insurance - Grievance Redressal

In case you have a complaint or grievance regarding the services rendered by us, you may approach or write or e-mail to the policy issuing office, Regional Office/Head Office for redressal. If you are not satisfied with the response from the Company, you are free to take up the matter with the Hon'ble Ombudsman, in case the loss is below Rs. 20 lakhs and the policy is issued to an individual. The details of the Ombudsman may be obtained from the policy issuing office or log on to uiic.co.in.

Do's and Dont's - Health Insurance - Claims

FOR CASHLESS FACILITY AVAILABLE ONLY FOR POLICIES SERVICED BY A TPA

a. Check if the hospital falls under the networked hospitals or not, as cashless is available only for networked hospitals.

b. For planned hospitalisations, intimations to be sent to the TPAs in advance with details of:

  • Name and address of the hospital,

c. In case of an emergency hospitalisation, intimation to be sent to the TPA immediately on admission.

Do's and Dont's - Health Insurance - Renewal

It is imperative that you renew the policy before the expiry of the policy period so that continuity of cover is not lost.
Please ensure that the policy is renewed before expiry and in any case not later than seven days from the due date of renewal.
All continuity benefits under the Health policy will be lost if the policy is not renewed in time.
Any changes at the time of renewal must be requested in writing, and sometimes a fresh proposal may be required to be completed.
